Remember How Love Was Coulins
The honest truthful love I had for you
Is gone now
Reduced to ashes by the flames of hurt
Your face I see now by the dying light
Could I but remember now the softness of your touch
The pain it comes again to tear at my soul, my heart
It lies broken now, smashed in pieces like a crystal vase
Dashed against a marble floor
Each piece a mirrored memory to haunt me
The ghosts of love they haunt my broken heart
Your lips, your eyes, your face, your hair
So many things I had to say to you
The words are dry now in my throat
The sounds of love so sweet sung in my ear
I soared so high above the clouds on wings of love
No longer do I hold you in my arms
No longer do I kiss your lips
No longer do I dance away the night till dawn
Those days are gone from me
Stepping out of the shadows to bathe in the light of your love
I burned for you
I longed for you
I would have given all for you
Now I am again alone
You opened up the door of love
Then Slammed it in my face
